1. In addition to total area of agriculture, can you include irrigation intensity in your model? For example, some crops like cotton are often heavily irrigated, but others like wheat are not.
2. You use 16 years of data, apparently treating each year independently. Are there trends or other time-dependent correlations? For example, does higher precipitation in one year have any correlation with reduced water conflict in the following year? Are there other time-dependent trends that you can see in the MODIS data, that influence the amount of water conflict?
3. Can you discuss putting the model to use, such as using it to inform and modify agricultural policies and incentives so as to reduce water conflict?

Authors have drawn broad conclusions which may not be true for different scenarios.
They should have done a detailed analysis of different associations and done a more in-depth analysis.
Quite a few grammatical mistakes and spelling errors present

The results presented in the paper are not consistent. There is a luck in data and interepretation.
The title is more political than scientific.
